Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures Course

Introduction:

Industrial construction, particularly in the oil and gas industry for land-based applications, relies extensively on reinforced concrete structures. This course on advanced design focuses on foundational theories of concrete structure design, emphasizing load-bearing capacity, usability, and structural protection within approved design codes.

Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will:

  • Explore new methods for effective reinforcement modeling in the oil and gas sector.
  • Practice reinforcement calculations for elements frequently used in high-impact environments.
  • Enhance their ability to apply novel techniques and insights for designing or evaluating new and existing structures.
  • Address technical issues related to foundation design and blast-resistant structures for vibrating machinery.
  • Solve practical design challenges to create safe, cost-effective, and constructible reinforced concrete structures.
  • Develop practical steps and checklists for assessing concrete design beyond basic assumptions.
