Materials and Welding Issues in Offshore Oil and Gas Industry

Introduction:

The offshore oil and gas industry presents unique challenges in materials selection, welding, and corrosion. This comprehensive 5-day course explores welding, metallurgy, and corrosion issues related to materials used in offshore installations.

By the end of the Offshore Welding and Materials Challenges in Oil and Gas course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify corrosion issues and life cycle engineering aspects in offshore oil and gas operations.
  • Utilize engineering standards such as NACE, EEMUA, ASME/ASTM, Norsok, and other materials selection guidelines.
  • Apply proper materials engineering design practices for the benefit of organizations and projects in the offshore oil and gas sector.

  • Materials used in the petroleum, petrochemical, and natural gas industries, including environments containing H2S.
  • NACE MR 0175-ISO 15156, 2015.
  • Norsok M001.
