Optimization of Oil and Gas Well Design and Engineering Course

Introduction:

This oil and gas well design and engineering course on in-depth optimization is designed to provide participants with a better understanding of the oil and gas well construction process, highlighting all necessary components of the construction cycle and aspects of drilling operations. Participants will be encouraged to carry out well design calculations at both the conceptual and detailed design levels, which are critical for effective planning in the industry.

The training will cover the oil well design process, gas lift well design, and well optimization strategies to improve oil and gas production. Participants will actively engage with oil and gas design theories and their application in well engineering.

Objectives:

At the end of this oil and gas well design and engineering optimization course, participants will be able to:

  • Use appropriate technologies and methodologies for risk management in well design and construction practices.
  • Simulate advanced and complex low yield stages to prolong well usage and manage wellhead resources.
  • Apply a quality control model for each phase of the well engineering lifecycle and design process for its completion.
  • Identify causes of drilling problems, their solutions, and how to effectively manage the drilling process.
  • Foster the ability to perform effective well design that prevents complications.
  • Understand the economics involved in the construction of multilaterals.

Training Methodology:

  • Interactive lectures
  • Case studies
  • Simulations
  • Group work
  • Technical training
