Operation and Maintenance of Hydraulic Systems in Oil & Gas Course

Introduction:

This Principles, Operation, and Maintenance of Oil and Gas Hydraulic Systems training seminar provides participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills on hydraulic power systems. It is an interactive educational session designed to help participants learn how the different parts of a typical hydraulic system function and connect with one another.

Participants will handle the most important groups of hydraulic components, including direct- and pilot-operated relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, directional control valves, positive-displacement pumps, variable-displacement pumps, and accumulators. The seminar also covers basic hydraulic circuits commonly present in industrial hydraulic systems.

Furthermore, the training addresses hydraulic principles as applied to mechanical maintenance, hydraulic fluids, and their types and properties. This seminar empowers participants to diagnose and assess faults and damages in the primary circuit elements of the hydraulic system for maintenance purposes, adjust control valves, and conduct verification tests of hydraulic circuits concerning functionality and safety.

Objectives:

At the end of this Principles, Operation, and Maintenance of Oil and Gas Hydraulic Systems course, participants will be able to:

  • Outline the various constituents of hydraulic systems.
  • Assess the effect of hydraulic fluids on the components.
  • Explain and utilize hydraulic symbols.
  • Follow correct procedures for operating hydraulic systems.
  • Define maintenance and troubleshooting procedures applicable to the entire hydraulic system.
