Oil Production and Processing Facilities: Operations and Management Course

Introduction:

This course on oil production and processing facilities provides a comprehensive overview of the entire oil and gas production cycle, from exploration to downstream marketing. It covers both onshore and offshore operations, including surface facilities and processes critical for the production and treatment of oil and gas.

Participants will gain insights into various production and handling equipment, as well as emerging technologies in oil and gas processing. The course addresses practical aspects such as emulsification, solids disposal, and gas treatment, and includes an overview of produced water treatment and water injection systems.

Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the formation and chemical characteristics of oil and gas.
  • Comprehend the challenges associated with offshore operations, horizontal drilling, and safety.
  • Learn methods and techniques for exploring, drilling, producing, treating, and transporting oil and gas.
  • Familiarize themselves with upstream, midstream, and downstream activities in the oil and gas industry.
  • Apply knowledge of oil and gas treatment technologies, including produced water treatment.
